Display / Create & play

Bring your first display online.

Install the JustSigns player, pair the display with its code, then choose what it plays: one media file, a playlist, a live channel or a schedule. Your own content creates no order.

You need

A display and a player: Android or Google TV box, Fire TV Stick, Windows PC, or a Samsung smart TV.

It creates

A display in your account. Not a Marketplace listing and not an order.

Plan limit

Your plan sets how many displays you can pair. The counter shows “Displays used”.

Free plan

Free displays can also show JustSigns network ads between your own content.

01

Install the player app

Download apps

Install JustSigns on the device that drives the display — from Google Play or our APK (Android, Fire TV), the Microsoft Store (Windows) or, on a Samsung Smart Signage display, the URL Launcher. Open the app: a pairing code appears full screen.

Keep the app open on the display while you pair it.
Samsung Smart Signage display: open URL Launcher (Custom App on newer displays) and enter https://app.justsigns.tv/tizen. The display installs JustSigns, starts it with the display and updates it by itself.
02

Pair the display

Display → Add Display

In Display, choose Add Display, type the code shown on the TV and give it a name you will recognise, such as “Lobby TV”. Choose Normal Display, or Monetized Display if you will sell advertising on it.

03

Choose what plays

Display → Settings → Edit

Pick a Media type: one media file, a Playlist, or a Live Channel URL (m3u8 stream). Turn on Enable Schedule to let a schedule take over at its times. Set the orientation (landscape or rotate 90 / 180 / 270°) and save: the player updates by itself.

Auto Refresh can also reload the content every few hours.
04

Preview and check its status

Display → Preview · Status · Device Info

Preview plays the assigned content in your browser — it is not a camera view of the display. Status shows Online / Offline and the last time the player checked in. Device Info shows the app type, cache used, system time, uptime and IP address.

05

Control it remotely

Display → Remote

Remote sends commands to the real player: refresh the content now, change the orientation, restart the app and other supported actions. Use it when a display needs a fix and nobody is on site.

These commands act on the live display, not on a preview.
06

Turn on Proof of Play

Display → Settings → Enable Proof of Play

Switch on Proof of Play to record what this display plays. Your plan includes a number of Proof of Play displays. Turning it off later deletes the past Proof of Play data of that display.

07

Know what plays when ads are added

Good to know

Your content always runs as one loop. Ads join the loop at three breaks: Top (before the first item), Middle and Last. On the Free plan, network ads (Cloud Premium Ads) can appear in these breaks. Paid plans do not show network ads.

If the display is also a public listing, display-impression ads bought for it join the loop at their chosen break, and a sold time slot plays only the buyer’s ad — no other ads during it.

A single image or a live stream gets an ad break every 60 s (image) or 5 min (live), set in the listing.
